Well, yesterday at the American Leigon during in Cannan, during their (the towns) annual event called "Old Home Days" or something like that, there was was stuff on display from an MP in Iraq and there were some IP bassards on the table. Wish I had my camera. --Saint-Paddy 19:54, 7 August 2005 (UTC)
Hi, ive made lots of changes and added new information to this article. Im new and I apologise for the lack of my ability to use the correct forms of links and template, if I dont learn to do it first and someone wants to tidy this up then please feel free! Anyway I hope its more informative than before where to be honest it was poor when you consder the large role the Iraqi police have to play in what's going on inside the country. Barking Mad
Desertion
[edit]Have a read through reference 13 regading figures of servicemen killed, and deserting the force. There's no mention of desertion whatsoever, the figure of 12,000 is the combined number of 4,000 killed and 8,000 injured. Bit misleading.

Pic
[edit]The current pic in the intro, Image:Governor'sHouseSamawah.jpg, is not characteristic of the uniform worn by the Iraqi police. I added a pic in the uniform section of Iraqi police wearing uniforms that are characteristic of the typical uniform. Jumping cheese Cont@ct 08:31, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

A bad case of post 2003 recentism
[edit]Mosr of the content is missing from the article. --Niemti (talk) 18:18, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Update badly needed
[edit]Except for a single passing mention, there's nothing in the article newer than 2006 -- eight years ago. Considering the U.S. has been gone for nearly three years, and the Islamists have taken over the country, I question how much of the information included here is of more than purely historical interest.--Michael K SmithTalk 15:03, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

Federal Police, Emergency Response Division, etc should all be split into their own articles (also, UPDATE NEEDED)
[edit]The ERD (famously equipped with Abrams tanks) is just once mentioned when it's misspelled as "Emergency Response Unit". The whole article seems to be 10 years out of date in addition to being very short for a hundreds of thousands strong group of forces. It's in fact, even update-tagged since 2015, and above there's comment titled "Update badly needed" since... 2014. 5.173.88.58 (talk) 11:43, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
